Dr. David Halperin holds a medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He completed his residency in psychiatry and human behavior and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is trained in psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as family systems therapy, pastoral counseling, and integrative psychopharmacology. Dr. Halperin also holds a rabbinical ordination from Rabbi Yitzhak Elchanan Theological Seminary.
Dr. Halperin is a board-certified American psychiatrist and specializes in adult and child and adolescent psychiatry. He was previously the head of the adolescent inpatient unit in Philadelphia. He immigrated with his family in August 2023 and joined Beit Daniella, working in both branches in Tzur Hadassah and Shibolim.
